Summer is not for me. In fact, being a winter baby, autumn always feels like a fresh start to prepare for a New Year. I still get that back-to-school feeling, I have my new diary and pens at the ready and I’m ready to go! Shall we have a bit of a life lately September 2022 catch up?
THE WSL IS BACK
I’m a big sports fan and especiall with women’s football. Being a massive Arsenal fan is often stressful but I find the women’s team are much easier to watch! After a phenomenal summer during the Euro’s, I’m so excited to have the season under way. Arsenal sit top of the league now and fingers crossed, I can get to a game this season!
POSTPONED LONDON TRIP
I was meant to be in London the 16th-19th but because of the Queen’s death and funeral, I postponed it. I managed to rearrange my hotel, train tickets and two theatre tickets as well as selling a third. I’ve pushed my trip back to November, even though I’m heading to London next Sunday!
A CAREER CRISIS
If you’re self-employed, you might know this feeling well. It’s usually a slow period of work, with existing clients not needing much from you and prospective clients non-existent. I applied for a bunch of full-time remote roles, had some interviews and declined every single one. I love the flexibility of freelancing and very few roles offer that!
RURAL LIVING
We’ve been living in the countryside for over seven years now and whilst I love it, there are some downsides. Because I don’t own a car, I rely on lifts from my dad or the bus service. Said bus service has just six trips into Hull a day, with just four out of the city! The one day I wanted to work out of the house, the bus didn’t turn up and it cost me £8.70 to get a taxi (with three lovely older ladies) to get to the next village! Note to self: save for a car again!
SUNDAY RESETS
I’ve become obsessed with watching YouTubers do Sunday and end-of-month reset routines. I jotted down some tasks I can include in my own and decided to implement my own. It’s strange because I’ve always done these tasks on a Sunday but setting them into a routine just makes me much happier! I’ll be writing a blog post on my Sunday reset routine very soon.
AUTUMN CAPSULE WARDROBE
Last week, I set up my autumn capsule wardrobe. I’ve decided to make it quite a large capsule because autumn in the UK is anything from bright, warm sunshine to torrential rain. I’m still putting the finishing touches to it but the blog post will be live next week. I didn’t share my summer capsule on the blog so take a look at my spring one and the recap instead as I’ll be following the same format!
I had zero theatre or travel trips in September so it felt a bit empty for me! Those two hobbies bring me so much joy so I want to do more of them but they both cost a lot of money! Hopefully, October is a little more exciting.
Did you enjoy my life lately September 2022 post? Let me know in the comments below and I’ll do another one for October. Why not give me a follow on Instagram too?
